Here was the initial creative process to get ideas. Multiple logos done quickly to initiate creative flow.

These were getting closer and starting to fine tune with the company manager and the other supervisors.

A VERY SCARY MOMENT!

Tonight I opened my bag going to edit some of my photos. To my horror, I heard a weird sound, something every photographer dreads… Glass clinking, immediately freaking out, I pulled out my 50D attatched to my 70-200 F2.8L….

I opened the cover and saw this….

Luckily for me it was only the UV Filter, and I was shocked there was no damage to my precious and FAVORITE lens for shooting bands. I about had a heart attack. One of those moments you dread because our cameras, and lenses are our babies. But you have to be prepared, and over time accidents do happen. This time I was one lucky dude. Five scratch tickets for me tonight! haha. Thanks TIFFEN for your amazing product!

Canon’s new monster 1D Mark X

Well the day is almost here that this monster ships. It’s one that makes newbies drool and professionals act like kids in a toy store.

Watching how long canon has worked on this prototype makes me wonder how long they have been teasing us knowing this unstoppable force was coming.

With Nikon’s new rebuttal the powerful D4, we begin to see the war between these two incredible companies. Most of us would give a kidney and probably an arm and a leg for either camera body.

With a price tag of $6800 big ones, we begin to wonder if this camera is worth what we would be paying…

It boasts some superhero like characteristics with 18.1 MP CMOS censor with a machine gun like 14 fps…Yea, I said 14. Pretty much puts the D4′s tail between it’s legs.

But most of us are saying what makes this camera so great? Well, I’ll put it this way Canon has put in many years of combined research and finally been able to put those sweat and tears into the pinnacle of their technology. This is by far in my opinion one of the greatest pieces of technology. Although my photography team would argue being Nikon fans and users. But what I hold is nikon D4′s kryptonyte.

Superman himself is rolling over after this piece of krypton slaps him in the face. I mean with ISO’s capable of 204,800 in H2? That’s INSANE!

You can also hide another CF card inside it’s cloak with two CF slots, and even a gigabit ethernet terminal. Seriously canon spared no expense, and this wolf is on the prowl with it’s full frame sensor, and it’s digic 5+ image processor. Light body, and incredibly strong build, you know this thing will take anything you can throw at it. Probably even you throwing it, even though Golem from Lord of the Rings will hunt you screaming you scratched my precious!

With it’s incredible features, speeds, and well thought out build, it’s engineered to expose anything from a beautiful model, to the breathtaking sunrise, to 7 foot tall thundering juggernauts on the field, to ear ripping f1 cars, you know this thing will take over any obstacle in front of it.

Now if Canon would just send me one to permanently have in my bag, and save me the almost $7 grand I’d be set. Cheers to you Canon! You have accomplished the golden challis!

Abandoned Location Shoot

We had a little fun, and got to spend a few hours in a creepy abandoned factory warehouse. It was definitely a little eerie, really hot, but everyone was a trooper and the shoot turned out awesome!

Memphis flood 2011

Memphis had one of the most devastating flooding in 2011. Beale Street bridge was completely engulfed, flag poles were surrounded by water. Tons of homes were flooded and destroyed. Parking lots become lakes, many people were homeless and uninsured because of the flood plain. It truly was a tragedy and Memphis will never forget this disaster.

Motorola XOOM vs. Apple iPad 2

Well, well, well, now we have two very powerful tablets to discuss. I went to the store because I’m looking into one of the two best tablets out there to better my ease of doing business. The new Apple Ipad2 and the Motorola XOOM have now been released and people are throwing punches just to get their hands on one. Waiting patiently I finally got to play with the Ipad2 at best buy, while the line at the XOOM wasn’t a wait at all.

It seems that people are interested in the fresh new designs. I’ve picked these two tablets because well simply said they are the two best out there. Lets get down to the nitti gritty.

Ok so which is better? Well that’s what makes it even more interesting…

The apple Ipad2 is sleek, fast, functional, and most everyone familiar with an iPhone, iPod, iTunes etc. can immediately figure it out. It’s lightning fast and able to handle multiple applications that run at the same time. Face to face chat is lets just say better on Wi-Fi. The apps are easy to buy and load via your iTunes account. The multi touch screen is very advanced and lets you zoom, cut, slice, and swipe anything to your liking. Battery life, and auto shutdown saves battery life when you’re not in use. There are an unstoppable amount of applications for pretty much anything your heart desires! I was amazed to see the affordable, fun, and innovative creations people were making for purchase or even for free for the iPad. The ability or organize and store your apps is really nice. You can customize pretty much any of the names of folders. The functionality is overall really nice, and the touch screen is very responsive. If you don’t believe me download one of the free 3D games, you will see how accurate the device actually is. There are accessories for pretty much any way you like to view your iPad. The clarity of the screen is absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. I also like how you can get either 3G or just Wi-Fi. The pricing for just Wi-Fi is a little bit easier to swallow than its competitor.

Now we explore the other main opponent, the Motorola XOOM. Once I figured out where the power button was, I began to look at this futuristic, and pretty awesome platform. Bright in colors, and 3D viewing capability was very interesting and it felt like I just entered the world of TRON. I really think they blew away iPad with their futuristic techniques and utilizing the 3D touch are fantastic! I had been wondering why they had purchased “Bumptop”. I knew something big was coming, and they definitely put it to great use. They utilize flash! I was so happy to see something without just the apple adaptor. This allowed me to have the ability to transfer information immediately instead of having to hook it up to my computer like the iPad. The screens are all touch screen oriented, all the navigation buttons are pressed directly on the touch screen. This is very nice because it adds so much more functionality. There are so many screens to choose from. The screen is huge, and the picture is crystal clear. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. The ease of finding applications is almost endless in the ever-growing world of the android market. Apple definitely has a fast growing competitor. They have grown in such a short time that it’s insane! I found myself wanting to sell my right arm just so I could play more with my alien-like device and figure out more that it had to offer.

Ok so in my opinion after using both devices I really was at a loss, I still liked them both…. I’m a mac person, but I still also use a PC. I use a droid phone instead of an iPhone. So with that said I don’t have bias to either. For your ideas on face-to-face chat on 3G I have a field trip for you. For fun go to your cell store and ask them, “May I see your 4G map?”. You’ll find it very educational lol.

With that said, I’m looking to decide on one of the two. Both of these products are great. Both are VERY POWERFUL, beautiful, have crystal clear pictures, fantastic tools, and are very fun to use. I’m being nit picky, only because this is a pretty big decision between the two. It’s not like going to the store and buying a stick of gum. I’m going to sit and dwell on this before I make an actual decision. Please I’d like to hear your feedback. Motorola and Apple, feel free to send me one of each to test it out more in depth. If you haven’t tried both of the products, I implore you to go to the store and compare them so you don’t give one-sided opinions. Saying I love “this” and not trying the other isn’t going to get you anywhere. Both are top on the pyramid of technology and both have changed the way we view, play, and do business in the new world of technology and internet today.

Sticker Design Process

It was quite the process, and the printers treated the lettering with a metallic foil which added quite the finishing touch.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Recently I decided to make the move to Denver. It was a very hard decision leaving Memphis and starting all over at 27.

Once I landed in Denver and got to see my family all the stress seemed to wind down. Denver is truly a great place to live and many wonderful people. I’m looking forward to seeing what this city has in store for me.
